Before my first ever visit to Brazil in 2004, all I knew about the country was from what I saw on VHS tapes of jiu-jitsu and the OTM DVD’s. One of the first ever VHS Tapes to show the Jiu-Jitsu culture with the sports elite, came out around 1997 and was put out by Romero Jacare Cavalcanti These tapes were awesome as Jacare went around Rio, talked to some of the biggest stars and coaches at the time, and gave a behind the scenes look at the world championships and training.
