The number six most common mental mistake Jiu-Jitsu competitors make is to “Surround Themselves with Negative People”.
A few months back, I released a video blog about the power of the association called “Who do you hang out with? Anchor or Balloon?”. Anchors are related to negative and toxic people who drag you down with them and Balloons are related to people who lift your spirits up. The cool thing about the video is that it applies to all areas of your life: Jiu-Jitsu, Personal and/or Professional.
There are different levels of negativity and different types of toxic people. Don’t get me wrong, we all have bad days and tough moments in our lives, but some people take negativity to another level though! How should we handle these negative people?
In this video you will hear three strategies on how deal with this situation and avoid the “anchors” that drag you down with them.
