Former WWE Champion Randy Orton has no desire to cross over to MMA.
Why?
Simple. The money, regular work, and the fact that he’d probably get choked out.
I like making $. Over and over. Not once every 6 months….plus I'd prob fake punch the guy and get choked out. #lol https://t.co/xLXt01bzyf

There’s also the fact that Orton gets to showcase his skills in front of a much bigger audience.
However, the third generation superstar said he would be willing to make an exception if the man standing across the octagon were reigning Featherweight Champion Conor McDonald . . . er, McGregor.
Unless it was the Irish guy little person Connor Mcdonald

When asked in a later tweet if he could beat McGregor, Orton’s only response was “Who?”

A better answer would be no, no he couldn’t. At least he would not be able to in a state sanctioned MMA match.
First, weight differences would prevent the fight from happening. Orton’s billed weight is 250 pounds. Conor is 168. This would make it nearly impossible to find a weight these two could meet at.
Second, Orton would be at a gross disadvantage. If CM Punk has taught the world anything, it is that starting MMA in your late thirties is not the best idea. Orton is 36 years old and has no MMA experience, though perhaps the Marines taught him a thing or two about hand-to-hand combat.
Conor, on the other hand, is 28 and has been fighting professionally for eight years. He has also beaten some of the biggest names in his division. In fact, he beat the biggest name in his division. That’s why he’s the champ.
The odds of the match would therefore be grossly in Conor’s favor.
But considering Randy has no desire to fight and even admitted he’d get choked out, it’s all moot point.
Randy Orton is staying in the WWE, and that is probably a good thing.
