The man, the myth, the legend that is Rodolfo Vieira made his debut at UFC Uruguay tonight against Oskar Piechota and it was certainly interesting. The former ADCC champ faced a fellow grappler in Piechota, but the skill difference was just too much.
While Oskar is known for a well-rounded game, the burgeoning talent that is Rodolfo Vieira managed to stay safe on the feet long enough to take the fight to the ground and once he was in his world. Vieira pinned Piechota against the cage and landed some strong ground and pound to win the first round with ease.
Vieira looked tired at the start of the second but eventually got the takedown. Piechota managed to score an escape and a gassed Vieira was forced to his feet. Rodolfo once more got the fight to the mat and landed some great ground and pound before scoring a beautiful arm triangle.
The Blackbelt Hunter adds another to his list.

Rodolfo’s big show debut certainly went better than another ADCC medalist’s.
