ONE submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg recently trained BJJ together.
Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg is continuing his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey by rubbing shoulders with one of the sport’s biggest stars.
On Sunday, the billionaire posted video of him training BJJ and MMA with current ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci. Check out that video below.
Zuckerberg has been training in BJJ and martial arts since at least last year, revealing on an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience that he trains under black belt Dave Camarillo. And earlier this year, he competed in his first BJJ tournament.
Musumeci is arguably the most accomplished American-born BJJ competitor of all time, enjoying significant success at the highest levels of gi and no-gi competition. In addition to his ONE world title, the New Jersey native is a four-time IBJJF gi world champion and a one-time no-gi world champion. In his most recent appearance, Musumeci dominated and submitted IBJJF no-gi world champion Osamah Almarwai at ONE Fight Night 10.
Zuckerberg’s post above hints at a potential MMA debut. And while the business mogul is unlikely to fight in MMA any time soon, Musumeci has recently indicated an interest in doing so. To that end, the BJJ black belt has spent time training with UFC flyweight world champion Brandon Moreno.
