Vagner Rocha made history twice last night at the Eddie Bravo Invitational’s first ever Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds. Not only did Vagner become the first ever Combat Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, but he finished his opponent via TKO, something that had never been done before in EBI history.
Vagner took on Nathan Orchard. The fighters spent almost two minutes doing stand up, but Orchard pulled guard before the two-minute mark was up. He then went for a leg lock, but Vagner returned with a toe hold attempt.

Orchard scrambled up, but Rocha stayed on his back. When the fight went to the ground, Vagner began slapping. Nathan went for the toe hold again, though, and seemed determined to get it.
The two went off the mat and the match started again in Nathan Orchard’s guard. Again, Orchard tried to get away, but Rocha held on to his back. Nathan then tried to roll out and he ended up with Vagner in his half guard. From there, Rocha put Nathan in a gift wrap and began slapping him.
The two got on their feet again, but Rocha hit a nice double leg and passed to mount. From there, he began slapping like crazy, but Nathan was able to slip out the back. Vagner, however, soon got mount again and went back to slapping his downed opponent. From there, it was too much for Orchard to handle, and the referee had no choice but to stop the match.
Winner by TKO, and the first ever Combat Jiu-Jitsu Chmpion, Vagner Rocha!!!
