Today we bring you a position from the Graciemag archives, recorded in 2012. Rubens Cobrinha, well known for his versatile techniques in the gi, was doing a seminar in São Paulo and took a bit of time to show us a surprise attack.
Helped by Michael Langhi, Cobrinha taught how he likes to attack an opponent who’s trying to lock things down en garde while seated. In the attack, Cobrinha wraps his opponent’s neck and adjusts himself to spin, doing a roll that ends with Langhi caught in a choke.
