Angela Hill, UFC’s strawweight fighter, has just earned her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt! She shared the great news on her social media:
No I didn’t pee myself but I was happy enough to! Thank you @johnnysd and @jenabishopbjj for the huge honor to represent you guys as a purp! When professor @jessicapenne gave me my blue belt years ago I was surprised at how happy it made me. Feeling the same feels today!

Angela Hill is a part of the UFC history in more ways than one; but perhaps the most significant way being the fact that she was the UFC’s first African American female fighter – having made her debut in 2014.
She is also an Invicta and World Kickboxing Association champion who, after first being released and then called back again to the UFC, now sports a record of 13-11.
