UFC 223 headliner Khabib Nurmagomedov has essentially disappeared after no-showing to obligatory promotional events, according to UFC officials and MMAImports.com.
The Russian MMA star is scheduled to fight Max Holloway at this weekend’s Brooklyn, NY event. Holloway stepped up as a last-minute replacement when Nurmagomedov’s original opponent, Tony Ferguson, had to withdraw after getting injured.
Nurmagomedov’s media appearances for the day have all been cancelled as UFC officials attempt to reach him. No other details are currently provided, but the Jiu-Jitsu Times will continue to provide updates on this story as they become available.
