Being stuck in the knee-shield can be a frustrating thing. Not only does it make it more difficult to pass, it gives your opponent more opportunities to sweep, submit, or get back to their feet. That’s where this week’s video from Big Guy BJJ comes in.
Passing by giving your back can be risky. What makes it work is forcing your opponent to flatten their hips out as you hop around the knee. The pass itself doesn’t actually require too much strength. For me, especially against fellow big BJJ players, this is a very high percentage pass. The only struggle you might come against is a flexible opponent. Keep an eye out for a video about how to handle that situation.
Check it out and let us know what you think!
