GMA member André Terêncio spent four days recently in Korea.
The leader of Brazil 021 Team travelled upon invitation of IBJJF’s director Andre Fernandes.
“I was asked to teach a Jiu-Jitsu rules seminar and said yes because I thought it would be a rewarding experience and it certainly was,” said Terêncio.
André was welcomed by the president of the Korean Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Seung-jae Marc Lee, and taught a rules clinic and coordinated the referee body of a Jiu-Jitsu event.
He tells us what else happened: “During the event, they presented me with a plaque honoring my presence there and the work of the IBJJF in promoting Jiu-Jitsu around the world”.
The occasion touched André: “I looked back to my early days as a Jiu-Jitsu professor and how people were prejudice anout it. I thought of my family and how they are proud of me today. I thank all IBJJF’s crew for their amazing work, a team I am proud of being part”.
Here are some pictures of Andre’s adventures in Korea.
