This Saturday the UFC held in Sydney one of the longest events of its history, with over 3 hours of fighting across 13 bouts, with 10 decided by the judges. But jiu-jitsu stepped in to buck the trend a bit.
In the preliminary card, Nik Lentz faced former Bellator lightweight champion Will Brook. After some intense short-distance striking, Brooks went for the waist, attempting to get the fight on the ground. An alert Lentz then locked a guillotine in place in mid-fall, and the adjustment was so well done that, as he turned his hips to get on top, the pressure was such that Brooks tapped out.
