UFC bantamweight fighter Sean O’Malley is now a brown belt in BJJ.
The fighter was promoted by instructors Augusto “Tanquinho” Mendes and Tim Welch at Soul Fighters Arizona.
The promotion comes almost exactly two years after O’Malley earned his purple belt, also from Tanquinho and Welch.
O’Malley, whose only loss has been to Marlon Vera at UFC 252 last year, has finished ten of his thirteen victorious fights, mostly by knockout or TKO. He has also ventured into the competitive grappling world, competing at F2W 122 in August 2019. He is currently scheduled to fight Louis Smolka at UFC 264 on July 10.
