At every UFC event, three categories are assessed and rewarded with a hefty bonus: the prizes for Fight of the Night, Submission of the Night and Knockout of the Night at UFC on Fox 5 were announced shortly after the event ended last Saturday in Seattle.
Knockout of the Night honors went to Yves Edwards, who put out Jeremy Stephens’ lights in the first round with a combination of punches. Besides his show and win purses, he took home an extra $65,ooo.
The Fight of the Night bonus went to Scott Jorgensen and John Albert. Each earned an extra $65,000, with Jorgensen adding an extra $65,000 padding for the rear-naked choke that garnered him the Submission of the Night award.
