Submission Hunter Pro has announced their main event match of their 60th event, and you won’t want to miss this one.
UFC fighter Roxanne Modafferi will be taking on Silver Fox standout Danielle Kelly in a superfight that will determine who takes home the 130lb black belt no-gi title. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be given to The Rose Houston, which supports women living with breast cancer by providing “access to screening, diagnostics and treatment services to any woman regardless of her ability to pay.”
Modafferi is coming off a win against Andrea Lee at UFC Fight Night 177, and her expertise in BJJ has helped her achieve great things in the Octagon. She earned her black belt earlier this year, calling it “the happiest day of her life,” and back in 2002, she was the NAGA fighter of the year.
Kelly has been on the rise for years, and she’s been coming into her own since earning her black belt back in January. She won No-Gi Pans as a brown belt, and back in July, she had an electrifying match against Grace Gundrum at EBI’s Jiu-Jitsu Overtime event. This won’t be her first time going up against a UFC fighter — she made headlines when she submitted Cynthia Calvillo in just seventeen seconds at Quintet Ultra last year.

Submission Hunter Pro 60 will take place on Sunday, October 25 and can be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.
