Women’s strawweight battle between Rose Namajunas and Paige VanZant was the main event in the recent UFC Fight Night 80. In the night’s main event, Namajunas was able to not only dominate Paige, but was able to defeat her in round five by way of submission using a rear-naked choke.
Paige was simply no match for Namajunas despite her own display of toughness and heart. She was simply outmatched by Namajunas’ grappling and technical striking. In addition to winning the fight by submission, Namajunas was both able to score numerous takedowns and win in the stand-up game.
