Randy Brown needed under three minutes and just one arm to submit Alex Oliveira in their welterweight fight at tonight’s UFC 261.
Brown knocked Oliveira down with a big right hand and soon got a hook in as Oliveira struggled to his feet. Brown then found an opening to the neck and sunk in an arm as Oliveira tried landing backward-reaching punches while attempting to control Brown’s other arm. Brown took Oliveira to the ground and got both hooks in. He moved to bring his other arm into play, but he didn’t need it — Oliveira was already tapping out, and Brown was declared the winner at 2:50 into the first round.

The victory brings Brown’s record up to 13-4 and puts him back in the win column after a loss to Vicente Luque last August.
