BJJ black belt Rafael Lovato Jr. won the vacant Legacy Fighting Championship Middleweight title this past Friday at LFC 54, which was held at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lovato, a multiple-time BJJ world champion, won the LFC crown in only his third professional MMA fight with a second round TKO victory over Marcelo Nunes (5-1). He won his two previous MMA fights with first round submissions. In addition to his victory, Lovato’s black belt protege Justin Rader improved to 4-2 with a three round unanimous decision over Aaron Robinson who slipped to 0-2.
