Over the past decade, Budo Jake, the owner and founder of Budo Videos, has been one of the most influential figures in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community. Through Budo Videos, which he started in 2003, Budo Jake has produced hundreds of high level instructional videos, hosts the top rated BJJ podcast on the internet, provided an online channel for martial artists to pick up equipment and apparel, and has produced the online streams for a number of the most important events in BJJ including the IBJJF Worlds, IBJJF Pans and ADCC events. In addition to his success in the business world, Budo Jake also holds a 3rd degree black belt in Aikido and a black belt in BJJ under Carlos Gracie Jr. and the Gracie Barra team.Budo Jake was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to discuss his life which includes teaching English in Japan in 3 years, the growth of Budo Videos, The Eddie Bravo Invitational, and the future of professional BJJ/Grappling.
