Jon Jones keeps living up to his billing, successfully defending his light heavyweight title for the first time, against Quinton Jackson. It was the first time Jones put his belt up for grabs. Testament to his versatility, he displayed not just great takedowns and striking but submission savvy that notched him his fourth career submission win. And there were others who showed that Jiu-Jitsu is very much alive in MMA, most notably Nate Diaz for his triangle-armbar double attack, and former K-1 champion Mark Hunt’s obvious progress on the ground since being taken under the wing of Carlson Gracie black belt Ricardo Libório.
