Some of you already know Jess Munter, the young and fiercely inspiring blue belt who’s been making a name for herself while helping grow the sport of para jiu-jitsu. We featured Munter back in April, and are happy to update that she’s just become a two-time SJJIF Para World Champion. Munter won her division this weekend, beating a black belt to take the gold in Long Beach, California:
Munter is a full-time college student studying psychology and kinesiology when she’s not competing. She trains out of Bellingham BJJ and Imperial Jitz in Washington. She also shared the behind the scenes awesomeness that is adaptive grapplers helping each other tie belts before competing, so we’re throwing her another four points for the feelgood video of the week:
