Julia Boscher wins double gold at Rio BJJ Pro

BJJ Pro, the traditional circuit in professional BJJ, held this Saturday its latest edition in Rio de Janeiro’s Municipal Club.
Julia Boscher, who lives just nearby, wound up being the weekend’s big standout. Representing Soul Fighters, she not only beat the medium heavyweight field — defeating Sabatha Laís (Ryan Gracie JJ) in the final — but also took down the absolute division, with a decision win over the runner-up, Izadora Cristina (Alliance). All of this was made more competitive by the top prize of 4,900 reais.
In the men’s section, where there was no absolute, the winner of each mixed division won the same 4,900 bucks. The champions were Rafael Mansur (Atos) at feather, Nathan Chueng (Cícero Costha) at middle, Matheus Spirandeli (Alliance) at heavy, and Igor “Tigrão” Schneider (NS Brotherhood) at ultra-heavy. Each second-place finisher took 1,125 reais.
