Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is an English professional MMA athlete, who currently competes in the UFC’s Lightweight division. And, aside from being a great fighter and an entertaining performer, Paddy is also a very skilled Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt.
Just recently, “The Baddy” had an opportunity to train with the US Marines. He joined the USMC Martial Arts Program at Camp Pendleton, where he had a first-hand experience of how it feels to train with the Marines, to teach them Jiu-Jitsu, and also to talk about men’s mental health issues.
He seems to have had a great time, saying after the experience:
As you can see, I’m pretty tired. We are at the camp in the military base of San Diego. They just put me through a hard little session, dripping in sweat. Showed them some Jiu-Jitsu techniques.
And yes – Paddy truly did have to go through a grueling workout with the Marines, laying down on the mats after the training was finished. But he also put additional effort onto his training partners, when one of them had to do squats while carrying Paddy on top of his shoulders.
Pimblett was apologetic about it:
Sorry lad, I’m a fat b*stard.
He trained BJJ with the Marines and had a fun time competing against them, in a shark tank fashion. Of course, he submitted everyone with relative ease – watch it on the video below:
