On Fox, UFC even plugged during baseball game

November 12 marks the day Cain Velasquez puts his title up for grabs against Junior Cigano at UFC 139 in California.

The heavyweight fight also marks the UFC’s debut on Fox television network, which will broadcast the showdown.

Fox, which will also broadcast the reality show “The Ultimate Fighter”, even went as far as to plug Velasquez versus Dos Santos during baseball game coverage, like in the Texas Rangers-Boston Red Sox game in the video below.

According to UFC president Dana White, the Fox deal will carry the event to a new level of popularity in the country. White’s hope is that the UFC will be as recognized as the NBA, NFL or MLB, the three main sporting organizations in the United States.
