Nick Rodriguez has come one step closer to winning ADCC with just about a year of jiu-jitsu to his name.
Rodriguez, a blue belt with significant wrestling experience, first beat Mahamed Aly in the first round to advance to the quarter-finals. He then defeated Orlando Sanchez in the quarter-finals of ADCC just a short time ago. Sanchez himself is an accomplished ADCC veteran, having won the event in 2015 and becoming the runner-up in 2017.
Sanchez is in great spirits and excited about his match even after his defeat, and Rodriguez is, understandably, super hyped up as he prepares to face Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu in the semi-finals. Check out our chat with him below:
