It’s just been announced that Nicholas Meregali and Kaynan Duarte will face each other at Who’s Number One (WNO) 19, on the 10th of August, 2023!
It will be a no-gi bout.

Meregali and Duarte faced each other multiple times before. Their first encounter was in 2018, when Duarte won via referee decision at the “World Series of Grappling 2” event.
In 2019 they fought yet again, this time in the IBJJF Brazilian National Championship absolute division semi-final match. Meregali won that one, via submission (choke from the back).
The third time they faced was at a “Spyder BJJ” tournament, when Duarte won via referee decision yet again.
However, the series between the two men became tied when Meregali won in the 2021 IBJJF World Championship absolute division semi-final match.
Now the score is 2-2. And the WNO 19 will have one of the athletes breaking the tie!
Both Duarte and Meregali are excited about the match.
