Word to the wise, people: don’t call out Nate Diaz. He doesn’t like it.
“Ask nicely…” Diaz said on the OKWERDZ podcast. “Ask nicely. I’m talking about the organization, the fighters. And make it a big deal, because I’m not trying to sign a contract just because it’s a good idea for you guys.”
Much like his brother, Nick, Nate is a huge draw in the UFC. His trash-talking and “I don’t give a f**k” attitude make him a fan favorite. He is also famous for being the only fighter to defeat reigning UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor in a UFC fight.
Diaz is therefore clearly in a position where he can demand that people ask him nicely for a fight, and apparently, some people are willing to give into his demands — even if it’s in jest.
One of these was someone either pretending to be or representing Sage Northcutt:
UFC fighter Gokhan Saki, in what appears to be a serious tweet, also asked Nate to come back.
Dear Diaz @NateDiaz209 ,
We would really love to see you fight again brother. Could you please come back.
Kind regards,
The Rebel.

So far, nothing from Conor McGregor, though.
