The ninja choke is a BJJ strangle, usually done from the side control position or north south position. The fact that this submission is applied from a top pin makes it a safe technique to use. It does not place you in a compromised position if you can’t complete the choke. This means that you can use it repeatedly for as long as you are in side control or NS.
Makoto Takahashi locked up a spectacular rolling ninja choke on Diego Paiva from his guard at CFFC to become flyweight champion of the organization. He then rolled over multiple times, finishing him on the side.
