A clerk at a North Carolina gold store, Derek Mothershead, 26, took a risky stance during a stick-up last Friday. An MMA fan, Mothershead threw a straight left that dropped the assailant to the ground unconscious.
The thug was taken away on a stretcher, so potent was the blow. In an article published in GRACIEMAG 177, Carlos Gracie Jr. recounted a story about a robbery he suffered, and stated that he would never react to an armed assailant.
“Losing money in a situation like that is one thing. You can make the money back. Other things you can’t.”
