Robert Follis — famed coach at Xtreme Couture — has passed away according to multiple reports from teammates and friends.
Dana White posted on Facebook less than a half an hour before the time of this writing to send his respects to Coach Follis:
“Sucks to wake up and hear this news,” the UFC President said. “RIP Robert Follis such a nice guy.”

White wasn’t the only member of the UFC to mourn the loss of Robert Follis. Matt Brown posted on Twitter early this morning:
I became good friends with Robert Follis throughout filming of TUF 25 I just stayed at his house last week I haven’t heard what happened can anyone fill me in? He was an awesome guy and the more I got to know him the more respect I had for him

Former UFC color commentator and fighter Kenny Florian was also saddened to hear the news:
Extremely saddened to hear the news about Robert Follis. Heartbroken for his family and close friends. He was truly one of the good guys in the sport.

Famed MMA referee Big John McCarthy also paid his respects:

The MMA magazine Fansided reported that “it appears as though he [Follis] took his own life,” though this has not been confirmed.
Follis left Xtreme Couture weeks before his passing. He trained many fighters, including former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate.
The Jiu-Jitsu Times would like to send its condolences to the family and friends of Coach Robert Follis.
