The twin brother of Rodrigo Minotauro, Rogério Minotouro, anxiously awaits Minota’s fight at UFC 110, which marks the organization’s debut in Australia. The fight will be against Cain Velasquez, who is undefeated in MMA with seven victories. Minota analyzes his brother’s opponent:
“Cain Velasquez is tough, that guy is really good. He has good wrestling skills and is dangerous, lots of power,” Rogério told GRACIEMAG.com.
“But Rodrigo has more experience. He can use that to beat him,” he says.
Minotauro hasn’t fought since August of 2009, when he defeated Randy Couture by unanimous jury decision. The fighter went through some health problems and was even hospitalized. To return at full power, Minota relies on galactic support.
“Rodrigo is working at the Nike training center. He’s there with the help of a trainer who prepares the 50-million-dollar American football players. The guy is scary good. Soon after my fight (victory over Luis Banha at UFC 106), I started to work with him as well, but I got hurt. I saw the guys training that way and said I’d also have to do it that way,” said Rogério.
