The UFC announced this Wednesday that newly crowned bantamweight champion Miesha Tate will get little rest before her first title defense.
The champion already has her next match scheduled for July 9, at UFC 200.
The Brazilian contender has a 14-2 MMA record and a 5-1 record in the UFC.
Currently the number 4 in the division ranking, Nunes is in a three-fight winning streak and her most recent appearance was at UFC 196, when she beat Valerie Shevchenko by unanimous decision.
Tate captured the belt also at UFC 196, when she choked Holly Holm with a rear naked choke at the very end of the 5th round.
If Amanda wins the belt, she will be the 4th title holder in the division since November 2015.
UFC 200 takes place July 9, in Las Vegas, as the main event of 2016’s International Fight Week.
