Max Gimenis and Mahamed Aly To Face Off At Fight 2 Win 102 For Black Belt Gi Superheavyweight Title

In a clash of titans, Fight 2 Win will be presenting a high-level superfight at their February 16 event in Albuquerque, NM, between 2018 world champion Mahamed Aly and GF Team star Max Gimenis.  F2W CEO Seth Daniels has confirmed that the two will compete for the Fight 2 Win black belt superheavyweight gi title.

Gimenis and Aly have faced off twice in the past, with each taking a win away from their encounters, but Aly’s win was by submission while Gimenis’ was by points. The match is compelling because both of these athletes are active on the competition scene, showing the world their exciting brands of competitive grappling in the gi.

Aly, for his part, has a much higher submission rate than Gimenis.  According to BJJ Heroes, 30 of Aly’s 72 wins are by submission, and he favors the armbar. Gimenis, on the other hand, has only secured 5 of his 38 victories by submission. Based on their track records, a clear favorite in this match will be Aly, but don’t count Gimenis out as he has proven to be a patient and intelligent competitor.

Tune in to this Fight 2 Win event on February 16 to see which of these titans of the sport takes home the belt.
