On March 13, a perfectly timed coincidence gave amateur MMA fighter Kathleen Nelson the perfect moment for her highlight reel.
Nelson was facing off against Laura Dotter at Combat Pro Night 20 in Orlando, Florida, when she scored a big knockout victory prompted by the force of her right hand. Immediately after she landed the punch, sending her opponent stumbling back and falling to the ground. And then the lights went out. Literally.
The lights in the venue went out as Dotter fell to the ground, and thankfully, the referee wasn’t fazed. He jumped in to stop the fight and protect the fighter, and Nelson was declared the winner.
