Let Your Opponent Turtle Up, Then Use Your Own Lapel To Choke Them

We’ve seen how the bowtie choke can be an effective submission before, but did you know the same concept can be used to submit your opponent if they turtle up?

In this video, Bo Walaszek continues his bowtie series with a variation of the original choke that can either submit someone or convince them to roll over to a more vulnerable position. It’s a great way to at least get them out of turtle guard, and if all goes well, it could get you an early win in a match.
