Pettis won’t be waiting for title shot
A fighter who took everyone by surprise by snatching Ben Henderson’s WEC belt in astounding fashion – landing the most-talked-about kick of recent times (rewatch below), Anthony Pettis was set to challenge the winner of the January 1 Frankie Edgar-Gray Maynard fight for the title. That won’t be happening, though, as the resulting draw warranted an immediate rematch, but Pettis won’t sit on the sidelines waiting to make his MMA debut. According to MMAJunkie.com, the fighter should return to action in May or June.
