After the July 22 Rio International Open, the IBJJF competition calendar moves on to the August 14 Las Vegas Open.
Kayron Gracie is one of the black belts already focused on the event. In the United States, Diego Gamonal, also a middleweight competitor, is another training specifically for the competition.
“I’m in Portland, Oregon, where I’ll be for three months, teaching at 503 West Coast Jiu-Jitsu. I’m also preparing for the Las Vegas Open,” says Diego Gamonal.
The BTT black belt’s most important title came when he won his weight group and the absolute in the Rio State Circuit in 2010, and he should be a solid opponent for Kayron at the event.
