The original legend of the sport of MMA, Royce Gracie showed the efficacy of BJJ at the first UFC event nearly 24 years ago.
Now the Hall of Famer is following his son’s first steps in the same sport.
Khonry Gracie, 20, didn’t see his dad become the UFC’s first champion, but late last month he joined him, still as an amateur, as someone with “MMA fighter” on their résumé.
His debut event was Attitude MMA Fights 10, where he faced Ben Clark in the welterweight division. Gracie had planned to take down and finish, but his win came via unanimous decision.
Below you can watch Khonry Gracie’s first MMA bout and tell us how far you think he’s going.
