Tomorrow’s Titan FC fight between Kayla Harrison and Jozette Cotton has been canceled after Cotton was hospitalized and unable to get under 180 lbs, My MMA News reports.
The fight, which was supposed to take place at 155 lbs, was announced just over a week ago and would have been the second time Cotton had taken on the undefeated Harrison.
Harrison reportedly made weight for the lightweight bout, but Cotton didn’t even make it to the scale. She has been hospitalized due to her weight cut efforts and notified the promotion that she couldn’t get her weight below 180 lbs.
Harrison told ESPN that she was still willing to take the fight, even offering to weigh in an hour later at ten pounds heavier to narrow the gap. However, the commission refused, and the fight will not take place.
Harrison last fought in November to a TKO win against Courtney King at Invicta FC 43.
