Kade Ruotolo has made the best out of the previous weeks. He’s established himself as one of the best-known names in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; having won the ADCC World Championship at just 19 years old, and then by becoming the first ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion.
Moreover, Kade is proud of his accomplishments. He wants to represent BJJ in a “cleaner” way, as he explained in an interview for ONE:
At the end of the day, it is almost what my brother and I pride ourselves most on. Obviously, the wins are great, the belts are great…
But at the end of the day, we’re out there trying for the bigger picture, just trying to show some change in the sport because, like, I really believe 98-99% of athletes in jiu-jitsu are on some sort of performance-enhancing drugs.
That’s obviously one of the biggest things for us.
Furthermore, he emphasized that he wants to get into MMA in 2023:
Guaranteed next year, without a doubt. We will be in the circle, with gloves on. As far as what exact month, I can’t be certain.
There’s no specific date that we have signed, but definitely preferably within the first six months of next year, guaranteed for sure.
