A 23-year-old man named Paris Augusta had assaulted a police officer on a bus during a routine fare inspection. Off camera Augusta allegedly punched the officer in the face when BJJ instructor Pedro Arrigoni stepped in to subdue the guy.
Again, the video doesn’t show the initial attack, but it definitely shows how Jiu-Jitsu can be used to render threats harmless.
It’s nice to practice a sport that has such practical life saving applications.
