Atos HQ got a welcome visit from an affiliated overseas athlete when Israel Adesanya, one of their blue belts from New Zealand, came for a visit.
Adesanya, who also dabbles in MMA (with a 20-0 professional record and a UFC middleweight championship title), was promoted to the rank by Andre Galvao himself a couple of years ago. His coach welcomed him into the gym with open arms.

Many other high-level BJJ athletes like Ronaldo Junior were very excited to be able to train with Adesanya.

He didn’t just train in the gi. Lucas Barbosa and ADCC champ Kaynan Duarte were excited to get some rounds in with him.

He even got to hang out with Josh Hinger.

With his MMA career soaring high, it’s cool to see this UFC champ get on the mats with some of the top jiu-jitsu athletes in the world.
