The super fight between UFC Lightweight Champion “The Notorious” Conor McGregor and undefeated, five-division boxing champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather is happening.
Both fighters confirmed the fight on social media:

And it looks like Conor is taking jabs at his opponent early, posting a picture of Mayweather Senior on his Twitter:

As can be expected, the fight is happening in Las Vegas, where most of the biggest fights take place. The fight will be aired on Showtime, and naturally on pay-per-view.
Conor McGregor certainly knows a thing or two about boxing, as he illustrated in his last fight against Eddie Alvarez, where he won his second UFC title. Eighteen of his 21 wins have come by way of knockout.
But this time, he has going up against a man whose sole purpose in life is boxing. Mayweather also has more knockouts than Conor has fights.
Furthermore, the two will be fighting in Mayweather’s sport, where the Irishman won’t have the luxury of takedowns or kicks.
Who is going to walk out of the ring with his hand raised after what could be the biggest fight in combat sports history?
Fight fans — both boxing and mixed martial arts fans — will have to wait and see.
