The GMA has added a new black belt to its ranks.
The leader of Gracie Barra Alaska was promoted this May 12.
At the promotion ceremony, Grunder received his new belt from fifth-degree black belt Nelson Monteiro.
Grunder addressed the accomplishment: “I want to thank everyone for the congratulations and well wishes which I have received on my promotion to GracieBarra black belt. My special thanks to all of the staff and students at Gracie Barra Alaska, who have made my advancement in Jiu Jitsu possible. I am honored to be part of the Gracie Barra family, and to follow the example set forth by Master Carlos Gracie Jr.”
Two other GB Alaska members received their black belts, Bo Underwood and Tony Faralan.
