Many BJJ athletes want to travel, train and compete more frequently, but they lack the necessary funds. When pursuing sponsorship, it is important to present yourself in a professional manner, and clearly explain what drives you to achieve your intended goals. If you approach a non jiu jitsu organization, make sure that you educate them about the sport itself and its’ global popularity. Most importantly, always emphasize what you can do for your sponsor, and try to be more creative than just offering to display their logo and post about them on social media.
