Hockey Player Suspended After Judo Throwing Player On Ice

Mixed martial athlete Holden Anderson, a hockey player in the French League, managed to get suspended by his own team this week after harai goshi-ing a member of the opposing team during a game. The throw injured left wing Julien Desrosiers of the Synerglace Ligue Magnus’s Bordeaux team, causing a concussion and shoulder trauma.

The video starts mid-tussle Anderson, then ends just after Anderson steps back across both Desrosiers’ legs for a sweep that turns the Bordeaux player right on his head. The team reports Derosiers was knocked unconscious.

Anderson is reportedly suspended indefinitely by his team, the Amiens, and the league. Derosiers’ is now out for the season due to the takedown.
