A former WEC champion and challenger to the UFC lightweight title, Hermes França is facing the most sinister battle of his life. This past Monday, the black belt hopped a plane from his home of Florida to Oregon, where he turned himself in to Clackamas County police.
The native of the Brazilian state of Ceará is accused of sexual harassment and indecent assault, with bail set at 250,000 dollars. He will be tried on July 12 at Clackamas County court in Oregon City, Oregon.
MFC-Maximum Fighting Championship, for which Hermes would have faced Drew Fickett for the title on June 10, canceled the Brazilian’s contract.
