The Ultimate Fighting Championship held its traditional pre-fight weight-in event this Friday in Detroit. This Saturday UFC 123 will take place, and as always, the pre-show event was a show apart.
Unlike what most would imagine, BJ Penn and Matt Hughes were true gentlemen to each other. Facing off for a third time, the match promises even greater excitement for each of the former UFC champions holding a win apiece.
If Penn and Hughes were cordial, things heated up between Quinton Jackson and Lyoto Machida. They didn’t go as far as to shove each other a la Wanderlei Silva. UFC president Dana White took it upon himself to keep the two apart.
