In late March, Gutemberg Pereira of GFTeam won another pair of gold medals.
It happened at the Chicago Open. Having claimed the super-heavyweight title, Gutemberg faced Horlando Monteiro (GD Jiu-Jitsu) in the absolute final. Horlando had taken the heavyweight title.
It was a level match, with a lot of studying in the first minute. Then Horlando mounted and attacked a leg, but wound up giving his back to Gutemberg, who made a good transition to the arm and got the finish.
