In September 2014, Grapplers Quest, one of the largest nationwide grappling and BJJ tournament promoters cancelled all of their remaining scheduled events for 2014 and early 2015 while going through a restructuring. Many wondered if the promotions CEO Brian Cimins was burnt out and wanted to focus on other business ventures or if the promotion had run into financial issues. When the company ceased operations, there was speculation that the promotion might not ever return.
Grapplers Quest is now officially back in business for 2015. The first scheduled event for the promotion is the $5,000 ALL-Star No-Gi Pro Challenge Returns Sponsored by Grapplers Quest on June 6th at the Raritan Center in Edison, New Jersey.
The event will be consist of an amateur tournament and the All-Star NoGi Pro Challenge event, which is invitation only. Here is a breakdown on the weight classes and cash prizes for the All-Star NoGi Pro Challenge event.
$1,000 Men’s Pro Invitational 155 lbs and below (Men’s Lightweight)
$1,000 Men’s Pro Invitational 170 lbs. (Men’s Welterweight)
$1,000 Men’s Pro Invitational 185 lbs. (Men’s Middleweight)
$1,000 Men’s Pro Invitational 265 lbs. (Men’s Heavyweight)
$1,000 Women’s Pro Advanced Absolute (Open Female Weight Class)
All-Star Pro Tournament Rules: All Submissions Legal,
6 Minutes Submission Only with 3 Minute Overtime with Grapplers Quest Rules

The event is only 30 miles south of New York City and should attract high level competitors from Shaolin, Alliance/Marcelo Garcia, Unity BJJ, and the Renzo Gracie Association.
Tickets for the event and registration for the amateur tournament will open on Grapplersquest.com at or around May 1st.
